Steven A. Wagoner is the Founder and Managing Principal of SteelVale, a private capital platform focused on long-duration investments across Sports & Entertainment and Real Estate.
Mr. Wagoner leads the firm’s capital formation, investment strategy, and asset oversight initiatives. SteelVale’s investment focus includes professional sports ownership, stadium and mixed-use development, and opportunistic real estate equity and credit strategies.
He is also the Founder of the Major League Development Association (MLDA), a vertically integrated sport management platform operating men’s and women’s teams in the National Premier Soccer League and USL, as well as elite youth academies participating in MLS NEXT and USL Academy programs.
Mr. Wagoner serves as Chairman of the National Premier Soccer League and has held executive and board leadership roles across sports governance, real estate development, and federal contracting platforms.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Wagoner co-founded Nexus Street, a federal business development firm supporting enterprise units with over $250 million in annual revenue and more than $2 billion in program value. He later co-founded Trade Atlantic, LLC, an investment platform focused on multi-unit retail and franchise development in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, culminating in a successful asset disposition.
Mr. Wagoner holds a Master of Science in Finance, summa cum laude, from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary and a Bachelor of Science from George Mason University. He has completed executive programs in Alternative Investments from Harvard Business School and Corporate Finance from William & Mary.
